Practical Steps for Activating a Lotion Pump Head


 

1. Preparation Before First Use

Remove the sealing film: New pump heads often have a transparent film at the bottle opening; peel it off and discard it (some may require puncturing with a needle).
Tighten the pump head: Rotate the pump head clockwise until it reaches the bottom. A "click" sound indicates it is locked in place.


 

2. Activating the pump head (crucial!)

Press firmly 5-8 times: The first few times may not dispense any liquid (normal).
Continue pressing until a steady flow of liquid occurs.
Tip: Cover the pump head with your palm, press vertically down to the bottom, then release. Repeat until liquid flows out.


 

3. Special Circumstances Handling

Problem Solution
No resistance when pressing Check if pump head is screwed on tightly; reinstall if on tightly; reinstall if loose
Liquid splashes out Press slower; avoid jabbing forcefully
Pump head stuck Gently twist left-right to free mechanism


 

4. Daily Usage Tips

Restarting after prolonged storage: - Restarting after prolonged storage: If the pump has not been used for several weeks, press it 2-3 times to wake it up.
Residue removal at the bottom of the bottle: Invert the bottle and press, or tilt the bottle and press, or tilt the straw at a 45-degree angle and press.
Leak prevention measures: When traveling, rotate the locking buckle (if applicable) to the locked position.
